New CMM in operation
In late 2017, Anstee Coil Technology opens a new sales and manufacturing facility in Mexico. The new facility, which will create six jobs in Monterrey, the capital of Nuevo León state, follows the success of Anstee Coil’s China operation, launched in 2014.
The new venture, like the operation in China, will mirror the company’s successful British business model, but with obvious sensitivity to particular identified requirements of the North and South American markets for electromagnetic coils, cables, wiring and sensing devices.
As in the UK and China, the new Latin America operation, which is being created in response to demand from several launch customers, will be based on the design and manufacture of bespoke products. It will use the same equipment, manufacturing techniques and suppliers that already underpin the successful UK and China operations.
Speaking about the forthcoming venture, Anstee Coil director, Barry Hood, says:
‘Expanding in Mexico means that by the end of 2017 we will be manufacturing and handling sales administration on three continents. Our research, combined with the requirements of several customers in the Americas, clearly indicated the potential for the new venture. And it confirmed that the time was right for the next stage in a company journey that began back in 1948. Interestingly, that was just two years after the completion of Monterrey’s world-renowned Iglesia la Purísima church, close to where our new Mexican operation will be based.’
